Chloe Henaghan B.Sc(Hons), B.Ost
Osteopath
My colleague Chloe completed a Human Biology degree (BSc) in Leeds in 1998 and went on to work in the Pharmaceutical Industry. She subsequently left this industry and then graduated as an Osteopath in 2008. She has studied Cranial Osteopathy at a post graduate level. Chloe uses both the traditional ‘structural’ osteopathic techniques, where parts of the body are mobilised and adjusted to improve healing and speed up tissue repair, or the more gentle ‘cranial approach’.
Chloe enjoys working with patients of all ages and, like me, also works specifically with pregnant women and babies.

Coming to the clinic
REFERRALÂ You do not need a GP referral to come to an osteopath for paediatric or structural osteopathy unless your Health Insurance company specifically requires this. Most of our patients are self-referring or come on the recommendation of family, friends, colleagues, GP or Health Visitor.
URGENT APPOINTMENTSÂ We aim to fit all new urgent patients in with one of our osteopaths within 48 hours where possible, particularly unwell babies or children and adults in acute pain. We operate a cancellation list and will phone you if an appointment becomes free sooner if you need an urgent appointment.
HEALTH INSURANCE COVERÂ typically private health insurance covers osteopathy with GP referral. Some insurance policies pay for osteopathic treatment of children. Treatments are covered by BUPA and AXA, Norwich Union, WPA, Standard Life, HSA as well as the other insurance companies depending on the level / type of cover. Please contact your health insurance before treatment to ensure you have the appropriate referrals / letter / authorisation to cover treatment.
HEALTH MAINTENANCEÂ Here at the clinic, as both of us are qualified Naturopaths, we also try to encourage patients to actively look after their health and well-being. We may suggest patients come in for a regular loosen up as we find this reduces the incidence of acute episodes. Patients who lead stressful lives especially benefit from some time out to look after their body and to discuss ways of improving their health, diet and lifestyle and reducing stress.
